Recently, we’ve had a number of people reach out with questions about the Netgear R6400 and its compatibility with DD-WRT firmware. So we wanted to assure you, the R6400 is compatible with DD-WRT firmware.

Netgear R6400 Is Still Compatible with DD-WRT!

Netgear has recently made statements that the Netgear R6400 router can no longer be flashed with open-source firmware. However, our team has determined that this is not the case.

We’ve looked into these claims and after thorough testing, concluded that this model is still flashable with DD-WRT firmware.
